New books on Karl Barth

Lately I’ve received copies of some very nice new books on Barth – including the following:

• David Gibson and Daniel Strange, eds., Engaging With Barth: Contemporary Evangelical Critiques (IVP and T&T Clark – the American edition is better, since it comes with Oliver Crisp’s painting on the cover)
  
• Paul Chung, Karl Barth: Karl Barth: God's Word in Action (James Clarke and Wipf & Stock)
  
• Edwin Chr. van Driel, Incarnation Anyway: Arguments for Supralapsarian Christology (OUP)
  
• Mark S. Gignilliat, Karl Barth and the Fifth Gospel: Barth’s Theological Exegesis of Isaiah (Ashgate)

• The Early Preaching of Karl Barth: Fourteen Sermons with Commentary by William H. Willimon (WJK)
  
• Adam Neder, Participation in Christ: An Entry into Karl Barth’s Church Dogmatics (WJK – I’ve read this one, and it’s an exceptionally good analysis of the Church Dogmatics)
• Gordon Watson, The Trinity and Creation in Karl Barth (ATF Press; a book by a fellow Aussie theologian, to be released at the Barth conference in Auckland next month)
